Terms and Conditions for EV Charger Installation

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the agreement between Costelloes Ltd t/a Costelloes EV, registered in England/Wales/Scotland/Northern Ireland under company number 08400563 with its registered office at Costelleos EV, 14b Brymau Fouir Trading Estate, River Lane, Chester, CH4 8RF (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”, “your”) for the supply and installation of electric vehicle charge points.

1. 

Scope of Works

We will supply and install EV charge point equipment at your premises as per the agreed quotation. Any additional work not included in the quote may be subject to further charges.

2. 

Eligibility

To proceed with installation, you must:

• Be the property owner or have permission from the owner.
• Have a suitable off-street parking space.
• Ensure compliance with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and local planning requirements.

3. 

Installation Requirements

You agree to:

• Provide full access to the installation site.
• Ensure the supply of electricity is safe, compliant, and within the capacity required.
• Notify us of any known hazards  (e.g. asbestos, underground cables).

4. 

OZEV Grants (if applicable)

If you are claiming an OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) grant:

• You must meet the eligibility criteria.
• You agree to provide accurate and timely information for grant processing.
• If your application is later rejected due to misinformation or ineligibility, you will be liable for the full cost.

5. 

Pricing & Payment

• Prices are as quoted and valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
• A deposit may be required prior to installation.
• Final payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Late payments may incur interest as per the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. 

Cancellations

• You may cancel within 14 days of booking unless the installation has already started.
• If cancellation occurs after materials have been purchased or work commenced, reasonable costs may be charged.
• We reserve the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances or safety concerns.

7. 

Warranty

• Equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty (typically 3 years).
• Installation workmanship is warranted for 12 months from completion.
• Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or external factors (e.g. lightning, flooding).

8. 

Liability

We shall not be liable for:

• Any loss of earnings, business interruption, or vehicle downtime.
• Pre-existing faults or non-compliant electrical systems.
• Any indirect or consequential losses.

Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the installation contract.

9. 

Complaints

All complaints must be submitted in writing to info@costelloes.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.

10. 

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, including weather, supply chain disruptions, or strikes.

11. 

Data Protection

Your personal data will be handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. We will only use your information to manage your installation and any related warranty or support services.

12. 

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland depending on your business location). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that territory.
