What is Corporate Social Responsibility?

Until fairly recently, most businesses were driven almost exclusively by a single goal: maximising profits.

In the past few decades, however, more business leaders have recognised that they are responsible for doing more than maximising profits for shareholders and executives. Rather, they have a social responsibility to do what’s best—not just for their companies but also for people, the planet, and society at large.

THE REASON

Vickie (Director) - For a while now, I wanted to do something challenging for Cancer Research UK and to give back to all those people who work day in and day out to find the next breakthrough in Cancer trials – hoping for one day they will find that Cure for this devastating disease that affects so many every day.

For us as a team- Each one of the Costelloes Team have had a loved one, a family member or a dear friend go through this awful disease. We have witnessed their strength, courage and bravery in their most difficult of times.

This challenge is nothing compared to what many people face every day.

THE CHALLENGE

Starting the 1st of July from Bowness on Solway, we will walk Hadrian's wall, which is approximately 100 miles coast to coast and end our journey on the 6th of July in North Shields.
